Real Figures

Charles majored in business economics at the HES in Rotterdam, in 1995 he graduated post-hbo HOFAM at Nivé.
After several positions at Unilever, Johma (Hillsdown Group), NPI institute for Organisaton Development he founded Real Figures in 2006 as an independent financial interim manager, together with his brother Rex van der Heide (1971).

Charles: “My strength is in the fact that I customers assign me to different positions and – levels:
financial accounts, management accounts, controlling, coordinating of SOX audits.
I both work in management (MT)- and non-management positions.
The essence is that the customer is helped in a proper and efficient way.

My way of communication is open and straight forward. Decisiveness and focus on results are some other of my qualities. My English and German are good, my French and Spanish are fairly good.

I am a fan of ‘lean management’: I think an administrative organization should be lean: no backlog, no  double work, clear and simple processes. If the processes flow, there is enough time to deliver qualitative analyses and advice.
But first of all the basis must be right!

My last 2 assignments were at a Shared Service Center of a Chinese Electronics firm and the SSC of an American Company (Nasdaq), as European Controller, Spanish -  & French accountant, VAT-coordinator.”
